European based prototyping

Slow learning is one of the top ten sources of waste in a product development. Waiting too long for a working prototype significantly delays the opportunity to learn from test results. To address the need for fast prototyping services ESCATEC has the ability to make mock-ups, fast prototypes, trial run units and even low volume production in the heart of Europe, close to most of our customers' R&D Centres. The basic concept of this approach is to build prototypes with serial production equipment in the location where the products are developed. This reduces the time from the product idea to the start of production, and thereby helps to reduce the time to market to the absolute minimum. This proximity is also essential to understand what the customer really wants and needs, and enables ESCATEC to respond instantly to any changes in requirements.

Manufacturing Prototypes with mass production equipment, including AOI/AXI test equipment guarantees the highest possible quality of the assemblies, and allows the development engineers to focus on testing the functional aspects of the the product, since they won’t be distracted with manually looking for shorts, missing components, rotated components, etc. The high volume production runs are then manufactured in ESCATEC’s low cost factories in Asia to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership for the customer.
