We have been celebrating our recent acknowledgement in the Sunday Times Fast Tack International Track 200 League Table where we were recently ranked fourth.
The International Track 200 reports the fastest -growing private companies in Britain in terms of their international sales performance. Our Group Financial Director, Simon Dabson attributes our success to several factors.
“Over the past three years, we have made significant investments in our facilities, in Bedford and Lutterworth in the UK, and also in our Czech Republic plant which provides the Group with CEE based, precision electro-mechanical assembly capabilities.”
Our recent investments have led to a complete new surface mount electronics production line at JJS Electronics in Lutterworth in early 2013, the formation of Vigilant Components as an independent business unit with its advanced test laboratory resources to validate component integrity and guard against the increasing threat of counterfeit components, plus enhancements to the comprehensive business management software that has driven efficiencies in material supply chain management, logistics and manufacturing across the entire Group.
Dabson also believes that another reason for the increase in overseas sales to around a third of the total Group revenue of just over £30m, is the proximity of its Czech facility to customers in Germany and Switzerland, plus its ability to offer a trusted conduit into Europe for UK customers.
“The recognition in The Sunday Times is clearly great, but the key for us is to continue to support our UK & overseas customers by putting together agile supply chain and manufacturing solutions underpinned by the World Class principles that we have deployed across our businesses. With these principles firmly established we are aiming at market leadership in each of our key service areas.”
