Penang, Malaysia - July 15, 2020
A core ESCATEC value is to be a good corporate citizen and contribute where possible to the local community.
This “philosophy” led ESCATEC to sign up in 2013 as an early member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Malaysia Chapter, and to always strictly adhere to the rules of ROHS, REACH, use of Conflict Minerals, and other environmental regulations.
At the grassroots level, ESCATEC organises, contributes and encourages its employees to participate in various community and sporting events – ranging from blood donation campaigns, sporting competitions, to Arts & Film Festivals.
In this spirit of sharing with the community, ESCATEC Penang recently contributed some refurbished furniture (tables, chairs & cabinets) to various Children Homes and a school in Penang island.
The furniture had been in storage, but with some tightening of nuts & bolts and the copious use of elbow grease by volunteers, the furniture was refurbished and polished to provide many more years of good service.
Our sincere thanks to the volunteers for making this happen.
